The power of numbers. Everyone's right.
A class action (also called collective action) is a legal tool that allows multiple people who have suffered the same kind of harm to take legal action together against those who caused it.
Individually, the harm may seem too small to justify a lawsuit. Collectively, it becomes an action with real legal and economic force. Large companies know it — that's why they hope you won't organize.
Legal framework: In Italy, Law 31/2019 introduced the new Class Action: a more accessible tool, open to all citizens and to consumer associations.
Who is the Class Action Designer?
A role of informational and organisational support in building the action. Funding is decided by a third-party fund; the conduct of the action rests with the appointed lawyers.
- 01
Collects and validates the mandates
For class actions funded by our network, ComproCausa collects the mandates from participants, validates the data, and ensures transparency throughout the process. All free of charge.
- 02
Gathers the participants
Coordinates communication with the harmed individuals and collects adhesions to the contract with the fund. The information about rights and procedural effects of the adhesion is provided by the appointed lawyer, who receives the defence mandate from the participant.
- 03
Coordinates with the funders
The class-action funder covers all legal and procedural costs. Participants pay nothing upfront. In case of success, the percentage is agreed between the participant and the funder through ComproCausa.
- 04
Supports you along the way
We provide information and organisational support throughout the action. The actual receipt of the compensation depends on the judge, the debtor’s solvency, and the terms of the funding contract with the fund.

Report your case
Fill in the online form. Describe what happened to you — you don't need to be a legal expert. Our Class Action Designer will assess whether your situation may fit into a collective action.
- 02
Free assessment
Your case will be analyzed within 72 business hours (indicative timeframe). If the requirements are met, we will contact you for the next steps.
- 03
Join the action
If you decide to proceed, you sign the membership agreement with the fund and grant the defence mandate to the appointed lawyer. Economic conditions and the allocation of costs are in the contract with the fund. You receive periodic updates on the status of the action.
- 04
The proceedings
The Class Action Designer delegates the management of the proceedings to partner law firms. We keep you updated periodically on developments.
- 05
The compensation
In case of a favorable outcome, you receive the compensation net of the share retained by the fund under the contract. If the case is unsuccessful, the contract's terms on cost coverage and adverse-party costs apply: we recommend having it reviewed by an independent lawyer before signing.
